The construction of the freezer in Katrineholm has started! The site will be Seafrigo’s 5th platform in Sweden and the first in the Stockholm region. The building is designed according to the highest environmental standards and will be certified according to “Miljöbyggnad Silver”, equipped with the latest technology for energy efficiency, including solar panels and super chargers for electric trucks.
In the first iteration, the platform will have +30 000 pallet positions. The location, close to the major retailers’ national distribution centers, allow us to deploy a distribution set-up with a fleet of fully electric trucks.

The public freezers in the area are dated and being able to offer a state-of-the-art facility to the market is very exciting.”
The freezer will open 1st of December 2024.
